Senior Creative Event Designer

London £40K - £50K Permanent

We're super excited to be representing this incredible florists who are also a luxury events agency and work with our much loved luxury lifestyle clients. From conjuring a glittering twilight forest for the entrance to a magical dinner, to styling a summer meadow vignette to celebrate Chanel prize winners in Venice, our clients talented team of creative designers transforms venues all over the world into breathtaking showcases of floral grandeur working with budgets from £50K all the way up to £2 million.

We're looking for a unicorn with previous experience working within a florist that knows (and loves) flowers, or someone from a production background that knows how to put together big showstopping floral arrangements from a technical point of view, that wants to immerse themselves in the world of flowers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, styling and execution of events including weddings, brand events, and

private parties.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, style preferences and

understanding a brief.

• Create mood boards, sketches, renders, and detailed proposals to present design

concepts to clients.

• Manage all aspects of event design, from initial concept to on-site installation,

management of team and freelancers, as well as de-rig to ensure a seamless event

execution.

• An awareness of current creativity within the industry - trends, new techniques, and

emerging design innovations.

• Managing budgets with a given margin for all jobs and presenting figures to Head of

Events / COO.

• Develop client proposals in Canva and budget proposals in Excel, following up on

any outstanding actions until confirmation, and ensuring Pipedrive is kept up to date.

• Nurture cnships and new business leads.

• Ability to research new and interesting dressing, which might include sourcing

bespoke products such as candles, linen, flatware, vases etc. We are always looking

for exciting aspects of design.

• Early morning trips to Covent Garden Flower Market to assist with spot buying

flowers for events and staying current with seasonal availability.


What We’re Looking For:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in event design is essential.

• A strong portfolio showcasing your creative event design work.

• Exceptional eye for detail and a passion for luxury floral design.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Pipedrive and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.

• Must have a UK Drivers Licence (Manual) and be comfortable driving larger

vehicles/vans.

Reporting to: Head of Events (company size 30 pax)

Hours: Full-Time, 45 hours per week. Due to the nature of the events industry, weekend and

evening work will be required.

Standard office hours are 9am – 6pm, but attendance at events, which may occur during

evenings and weekends, is expected. Regular early visits to the Flower Market in New

Covent Garden/Nine Elms to observe seasonal flowers and build supplier relationships are

also beneficial.


Location: Studio in SW London


Holiday:

The company holiday allowance is 32 days inclusive of bank holidays. Within the events

department, holiday within our peak times is often not allowed, due to our high volume of

work, however this is assessed on a case by case bases. Peak times include ‘Wedding

season’ (May – July) and also the run up to Christmas (mid November to mid December), as

well as flower focused holidays, such as Valentines day and Mother’s Day.
